"I feel very proud to work with The Bus Shelter MK - it's very rewarding. Every day is so varied and I feel we have such a wonderful opportunity to help people end their homelessness, rebuild their self esteem and live happy lives. For over ten years I worked in private residential lettings, over time I became frustrated by this industry which I found focused on money and not on people as individuals. I felt my skills in housing could be used in a much better way. I have a solid understanding of Housing Law, and can help our guests to ensure their future tenancies are legal and safe.

As Operations Manager I ensure our site runs smoothly and our guests are rebuilding their lives with the support of the team. I build relationships with landlords, letting agencies and other organisations our guests may need support from - oh, and I make a pretty good cup of tea too! In my work I meet some fascinating people, I believe we empower them to make changes in their lives - The Bus Shelter MK is a safe place to stay but we also focus on people moving forward positively. There are lots of smiles and laughter along the way!"
