Welcome to The Bus Shelter
We give children the opportunity to wsaas horses, building their
self-esteem and confidence and improving their future prospects
Everyone deserves a safe place to rest their head, and your generous donations could provide just that for someone sleeping on the street. If you would like to donate to our cause, please read on.
Fundraising is the bread and butter of the Bus Shelter MK. We rely on our exposure to raise money for the people who depend on us. Follow the link to our fundraising page to support our cause.
If you would like to donate your time instead, we have a range of interesting volunteer opportunities. Please fill in our Volunteer Form to find out more.
Guests given a temporary home
Non Guests Helped or Advised
9 people can be accommodated at George House in Stantonbury.
Once they are residing with us, we work with other agencies to help guests find more permanent housing, work, and medical care.
Donating your time as a volunteer or money towards the care of our guests is greatly appreciated and supports us enormously. We are always happy for new faces to lend a helping hand!
We believe in the power of people to make a difference in their communities, one day at a time. Our volunteers have already seen and felt the impact that they can have on the lives of those who find themselves homeless.
We enjoyed shepherd's pie and bread and butter pudding, followed by guitar playing and singing.what a lovely bunch of guys we have on the bus. Looking forward to next time
I look forward to my weekly volunteer evening as the guys are always great company. We talk about their week, their hopes, and their gripes and always have a really good laugh. I feel privileged to spend time with them and always leave feeling valued and appreciated.
When I started volunteering I thought I had an idea of what homelessness was like. The Bus Shelter MK has changed that view. The guests' backgrounds, skill sets and outlooks all vary and it's a pleasure to play a small part in their journeys.
Without The Bus Shelter MK's support, I don't want to imagine where I would be now
I always go home feeling privileged to have shared time with them.
I was touched by the way they all rallied around when a homeless man turned up looking for a blanket. They immediately invited him to dinner and made him feel welcomed, showing real concern for his welfare
